What Is Void Linux?

Void Linux is an independent, general-purpose Linux operating system designed for advanced users who value performance, simplicity, and full system control. Unlike many popular Linux distributions, Void Linux is not based on Debian, Ubuntu, or Arch. It uses its own package manager called XBPS and the runit init system instead of systemd, making it lightweight and fast. Void Linux supports both glibc and musl libraries, offering flexibility for different use cases. It can be used as a desktop OS, server OS, or development environment.
