The US Weather App is a feature-rich mobile application designed to deliver real-time weather data, forecasts, and interactive radar maps to users across the United States. Built with scalability, reliability, and user experience in mind, the app combines precision forecasting with modern mobile design to keep users informed and prepared — anytime, anywhere. CHALLENGES Ensuring accurate and up-to-date weather data from reliable sources. Building interactive, real-time radar maps that function smoothly on mobile. Implementing push notifications and emergency weather alerts with minimal delay. Designing an intuitive UI/UX for broad user adoption across all age groups. APPROACH We developed a native cross-platform application that combines real-time weather data with powerful visual tools. Leveraging leading weather APIs and cloud infrastructure, we enabled: Live forecasts with hourly, daily, and extended views. Interactive radar maps with zoom and layer control for real-time tracking of precipitation and storm patterns. Push notifications and customizable alerts for severe weather conditions. A clean, user-centered interface designed through extensive UX/UI research and prototyping. To support long-term growth, we built the app with scalability and monetization in mind, including in-app ads and a premium subscription model with additional features. Compliance with U.S. legal standards for public weather data and emergency alerts was ensured from day one.
