Mapodo.de is a retailer for automotive engine oils based in Hamburg. The customer came to us with the requirement of adding a fresh touch to the old design of the existing Magento based store. The existing design was pretty old and outdated. We created a wireframe to make sure the user experience is exceptional and is designed a relaxed mock-up, keeping in mind their brand colors. Our senior Magento developers then converted this design into a Magento theme along with the modifications required in the backend for handling specific requirements related to selling the niche products (motor oils). Some adjustments were requested for the listing pages and product detail page to accommodate customization based on oil products. We had set up a development environment where everything is tested by the customer and then on his confirmation, it was moved to live server. The migration of the new theme to the live server was handled carefully and it was carried out during the less busy hours of the European market (between 3 am – 6 am). There was basically no downtime and we had a happy customer with his associates appreciating the new website. We continue to support the store and we are also planning the next upgrades.
