The client requested a system to monitor new listings for homes and apartments for sale in Switzerland, specifically posted by private individuals. This involves daily scraping of the Homegate and ImmoScout24 websites. Websites for Scraping: homegate.ch immoscout24.ch This project was part of a real estate agency’s sales funnel. The client explained that as soon as an individual posts a property listing on their own, they receive 20 incoming calls from other agencies within the first day, each trying to position themselves as the exclusive agent in hopes of closing the deal and collecting the commission. This means that if you’re an agent and your call isn’t among the first three, you’ve already lost the lead. We set up a delivery system with the client so that every workday at 7 a.m., they receive an email report with all the new listings on the site, including contact details of private sellers. In addition to web scraping, we also tackled the challenge of filtering and identifying other agents who post listings while hiding their agency affiliation, mimicking private sellers. Process: Daily scraping of all available listings. Filtering listings to identify those posted within the last 24 hours. Analyzing key features to distinguish between agency and private listings.
